Kisses From a Dragonfly

It was a day fit for a small celebration. I finally had some relief at work and got to use some long-deserved personal time any way I pleased. It was an early fall evening, still warm, so I took my book and fold-up chair to my favorite park. The sun was still shining as I picked a spot in the shade beside the tree line. No one was around except Mother Nature. Opening my book, I felt relief and freedom, two feelings that blended together perfectly. Holiday Grief

Whether it's the first year or the twentieth, our loved ones are still missed at the holidays. We want them to be remembered, we want their name spoken, we want memories of them shared. Our friends and relatives may want to avoid our grief. They may want to avoid us. We remind them of the trauma that we live with every day. We may bring them down. Ancestors in my Bathroom

One thing I've learned about visits from my deceased ancestors is that water is a conductor for their spirits. The water makes it easier for them to connect. I'm not sure how it works, only that it does. Messages from them come more often when I am in the bathtub, pool or shower. I was soaking in the tub recently when my mom came through. Why We Were Chosen

That's the burning question when someone suffers a great loss like the death of their own child. Why was I chosen and not the person who is neglecting their kids?
